Programs

Committed. Fit. Proud.
Join the hundreds of everyday athletes who experience a workout community where people care about you, and create health and fitness programming with your unique needs and goals in mind. If you’re motivated, open to challenge, and ready to get results, we have a class for you.

Health & Fitness Programming Designed Around You.
The Elite Athletic Development training program is inspired by CrossFit and forged by work with our athletes during almost 60,000 athlete hours. Steeped in our functional fitness philosophy, EAD programming helps the “every day” athlete achieve their health & fitness goals in a supportive community-based setting, and under the guidance of our nationally certified Performance Coaches.

Elite Athletic Development classes fall into seven Workout of the Day (WOD) categories—MetCon, Strength & Power, Strength & MetCon, CrossFit Women, CrossFit Boot Camp, Indoor Rowing Boot Camp and Mobility & Recovery. If you’re new to the Elite Athletic Development / CrossFit Arlington Heights, your first stop is Training Essentials.

Elite Athletic Development programming delivers results for everyone from Soccer Moms to Special Ops troops, first-time 5ks to 50th-time IronMan competitors, and student athletes looking to gain a competitive edge. Our nationally-certified, professional performance coaches structure the results-based workouts based on the development needs of our community members. The workouts are scaled to challenge the unique capabilities of each athlete and will include a wide variety of movements.

MetCon WOD. A constantly-varied, high-intensity mix of CrossFit movements designed to develop the body’s three energy systems. This is the perfect class for athletes who like a hard-hitting, intense and skills-based training session.

Strength & Power WOD. A strength-biased workout designed to establish a solid foundation for all sports movement, and enhance athletic performance. This is the perfect class for the athlete who likes Olympic & Power Lifting, and who wants increased speed, agility, quickness and strength.

Strength & MetCon WOD. A blend of the best elements of our popular and effective Strength & Power class and our traditional MetCon class. This is the perfect class for athletes who want it all — more strength, better metabolic conditioning, and improved performance — in a single, one-hour block.

CrossFit Women. Experience the adrenaline, power and intensity of EAD’s MetCon WOD in a women’s only workout. Whether you’re a former athlete or you’ve never worked out before, this workout will change your life … period.

Indoor Rowing Boot Camp. Row, row and row some more, plus dumbbell, barbell, kettle bell, body weight and plyometric movements in this challenging (and scaled to athlete skill and experience level) class  taught by Concept 2 certified trainers.

Mobility & Recovery WOD. A mix of core stability progression, band stretching, self-myofascial release, dynamic stretching and more to support recovery and prevent injury

CrossFit Boot Camp. A challenging and fun mix of our MetCon and Strength & Power classes scaled to athlete skill and experience level. Come prepared for individual, duo or team events.

Open Training. An opportunity to practice & perfect movements, learn something new, or make up a missed training session.

Elite Athletic Development Endurance Team. Successfully complete your first race or log a PR in your 50th without endless hours in the saddle, on the road, or in the water … and if you’re a runner, minus the nagging injuries frequently induced by long, slow distance training.

And More …

Performance Fueling. Fuel your life and maximize performance with nutrition education, diet analysis and menu planning.

Youth Athletic Development. Increase strength, power, speed and agility in this structured conditioning program proven to build a well-rounded student athlete.

Elite Athletic Development 3-2-1 Goal! A performance goal setting process exclusively developed by EAD performance coaches to help our athletes build a custom, quarterly training program. Contact Coach Karen for more information and to get started.

Open Row & CIRC Training. Whether you plan to compete at the Chicago Indoor Rowing Championships or you’re looking to complement your MetCon and Strength & Power classes, rowing is an excellent coordinated muscle action that will challenge every large muscle group in your body. One of our Concept2-Certified Rowing Instructors will post a WOD, or you can row your own program. (SEASONAL CLASS)
